Mobitel mSpace Platform
Mobitel mSpace is a fully-fledged digital service creation and monetization platform by SLT-MOBITEL, Sri Lanka’s National ICT solutions provider. It empowers both technical and non-technical users to design, launch, and earn revenue through telco-integrated applications such as SMS services, USSD apps, IVR, and web-based solutions.
Built to drive innovation, mSpace enables anyone—from entrepreneurs and startups to individual developers—to connect directly to Mobitel’s core infrastructure, access real-time analytics, and monetize through direct carrier billing and premium messaging.

My Role as Product Developer

Development & Optimization
Enhanced and maintained the USSD and SMS service builder modules
Improved real-time dashboard components using modern front-end tools
Optimized service onboarding flows to reduce user drop-off
Built and maintained backend APIs to support multi-channel content delivery
Collaboration & Communication
Worked with UX/UI teams to simplify interfaces for non-developer users
Participated in agile sprint planning, issue tracking, and stakeholder feedback loops
Supported QA engineers in creating test cases and debugging service logic
Security & Reliability
Ensured secure access to telco APIs using token-based authentication
Worked on rate-limiting features to prevent abuse or spam
Monitored error handling and log management for high availability
